"Be Still Sunday...

Be still and see the light.

"Let There Be Light"
Real Life/Still Life

I had very little choice other than to "be still" this weekend.  Recovery from surgery is going slower than I had anticipated and planned on.  I've come to the conclusion that I'd prefer to "be still" when it is by choice, and not by necessity.  Yet, it's hard to be too grumpy when I see the gorgeous light still shining thru my window at 6:15 p.m.  as I'm lying around being comatose still.  That I can live with.  Whether by design, or by duress...I saw it.

P.S.  I've decided to name the photography I am taking as a result of my online "Still Life" course...Real Life/Still Life.  Why?  Because they are not set up and designed to result in a still life.  They are still life scenarios that occur as part of my real life, naturally, when I "see" them. Someday, perhaps I will have the props and time to set up more intricate scenes.  But for now, these types of still life fit my personality and lifestyle better.

Here's where I "link up" today.

  13. I'm sorry the recovery is slow - it's truly only fun to do nothing when you want to. Stick a have to onto it and it turns into slow torture! Rest is the best healer, though.... And I'm a total fan of your real life/still life style, as you know! Glad you named it....might have to give it a go. Again - bravo on the light!!
