Balance...

  2. I love photos that inspire me to be in the place that was photographed...that give me a wish to be transported right to that spot. Many of your photos do that for me - these included! I have a love/hate relationship with the concept of "balance" ... I'm sure that's not unique to me. I kind of think it's like that happiness/butterfly analogy - that if you chase it it will elude you? And then I just think....maybe my expectations are just too low. I do think I've been a bit in "avoidance" mode - cause there are some things in my life I'm not happy with, but I seem to lack the "umph" to go after change. Your posts, of late, have been like a gentle nudge. Sigh.

And yes so true. I feel balanced just looking at this amazingly peaceful place.

  5. Love, love, LOVE this! I love AZ., too. The last time I was in AZ., we came across a labyrinth in Sedona near one of the many vortexes. It was amazing. And you're right, balance really is the key to everything. Hard to pull off, but it is the key to unlocking the best we have to give to ourselves and others. Beautiful shots, Kathy!

  6. Gorgeous images! I love the rock maze image. Love the rustic colors! Balance is indeed a hard find. I'm not great at it. I tend to just swing the pendulum back and forth hoping for balance. I guess I always strike it in the end, but never in the process.

  9. This is really neat! It would be awesome to have the room to create such a space...humm, now I'm thinking, I do have a decent sized back yard... ;-)

  11. Rocks are wonderful. I have always been charmed by the many colors and patterns of rocks but never so much until we moved to the Gulf Coast where there aren't any. I collect them and keep them where I can keep track of every one. These labyrinth photos are wonderful.

  12. Feeling more peaceful just looking at your photos. That labyrinth looks huge. I've walked a few. It's amazing how in a zone you can get. Love 'em. Great angle on that shot - I feel like I'm right there walking into it. (wish I was!) I am so intrigued by your trip - it looks like it was incredible!
