Hit the road Jack (rabbit)...

Project 52 (13/52)

The week that was...

All that prep for the Easter holiday and before ya know it...it's over, done, and gone like a freight train.  Not that I can relate to that, because mine was pretty laid back.  Actually, VERY laid back.  Like...laid back to the point of horizontal.  Prone on my couch watching movies, which took minimal prep work.   It just doesn't seem like a holiday when I don't have all my Things together under one roof with moi.  I was kinda bummed.  Horizontally.

The Better Half  DID try to cheer me up with the traditional Easter gift of  "I'm gonna clean the bathroom for ya honey". Okay, that DID make me smile horizontally.  Nothing says Easter like Scrubbing Bubbles.  But ALL my Things will be within hugging distance NEXT weekend. And when they are...I will get vertical.  And celebrate.  MAYBE even with a peanut butter Easter egg.  And definitely a clean bathroom.

  3. Awwww. I can remember my mom being "flat" when my brother and I were both gone. I imagine my parents are probably still that way but in the beginning should could mask the sadness in her voice. I will see them soon too but we couldn't do Easter. By the way, I'm wondering if I was one of those kids that cried with giant "anythings". The bunny on the train kinda freaks me out.

  6. Oh I so get this. Holidays are not the same when everyone is not home. It happens and you think... oh good a laid back holiday, I am okay with this. Then it happens and it is a bit sad. Great photo!

  18. Ok WHO does that .... Stand on a train with a bunny suit??!! Great post Kathy. Horizontal is no fun-unless it's to get 8 hrs of sleep! Glad you'll be warm and Verticle on the weekend-and NOT have to come home and clean a bathroom!! Xo
