My Dearhearts (week #2)...

1.  Dear Gym,

Iphone

How many people do you think return to their gym routine after trying on a pair of jeans and collapsing on their bed crying?  At least one did.  Just sayin'.

2.  Dear March Madness,

Iphone

I guess the fact that I'm sitting at a bar "watching" March Madness, taking photos of my beer, and coming up with song lyrics might be a giveaway that "She's just not that into you".

3.  Dear Dairy Queen,

Iphone

It's Spring.  But I want a Blizzard.  A Banana Pie Blizzard with brownie pieces in it.  The only shovelling required is into my mouth.  Then I'm gonna hit the gym.  Because I don't want my jeans to make me cry again.

4.  Dear Car,

Iphone

Hello, it's me.  Again.  Chauffeuring.  Waiting.  Killing time with the Iphone.  Making sure no one in the parking lot can see me doing this.  I need a life outside my taxi.  Perhaps the gym?

5.  Dear Moron,

Iphone

Three things come to mind:

   a.  You have enough energy to come to the gym for a workout, yet not enough energy to
to walk to the locker room.

   b.  You are illiterate.

   c.  Your mama raised a fool.

Either way, I hope you SAW me taking this photo so I could broadcast your EPIC FAIL.

Disclaimer:  All photos taken with my trusty Iphone.  Nope, no technical merit.  Just the week that was.

  5. You bring me laughter each and every time. I worked at the Dairy Queen through out high school (family owned, so got to start working for THE MAN early under the labor law family provision clause) - any rate, still hitting the gym to make up for that brilliant career move. (all the same, nothing quite beats DQ - especially personally made Buster Bars with extra filling - OMG - life time gym membership is a must).

Have a good weekend - keep working on that bar tune - I see a lot of potential there.

  9. I loved this post, Kathy! Hilarious fails. I'm afraid last years little shorts are going to cause an epic breakdown when they come out of the drawer. Oh, well!
Thanks so much for the MANY laughs today.

  10. My downfall was the Root Beer Stand for lunch today which included a LARGE root beer and 2 chili cheese hot dogs. Not gonna apologize though - it was a beautiful spring day, just the perfect day to pull up & have them hang the tray of food on my open car window!!!

  11. LOL! Great post. :) That beer looks awesome. And it's great that you go to a gym. I can't seem to drag myself to one because i think i should lose more weight first. (I know that makes no sense.)

I love your iPhone pics. They're fabulous!

  14. Awww Honey.....time to grab a bottle and hunker down. (remember Karen on Will and Grace?)
I've been doing the gym. I'm not crying putting on the blue jeans, I'm crying at 5:20 a.m. when the damn alarm clock goes off. SUCKS!
yah, slackers who can't leave their stuff on a hook in the locker room. 'geez.
Happy day. Get you one of those DQ's and then take a long run on the treadmill. It will even itself out.

  15. Humph! My jeans cried when I put them on! Motivation to exercise is still on spring break along w/spring. Wish my appetite was. That Dairy Queen combo sounded good. The kiddos want to visit Rita's today though. Might have to hit Dairy Queen once they go back to school & before spring returns from its break...no excuses not to exercise then. :0

  22. I really enjoyed your 5 and your great sense of humor! I've had breakdowns over jeans like that. I expect some this spring when I try on my warm weather clothes. :-(

  23. Its getting so nice out lately that its nice to take that gym walking/running outside into the sun! And its getting warm enough that jeans won't be needed! Well, maybe not for a while!

  24. Good for you turning that crying moment into something positive! Loved your list! And your taxi driver photo just too cute!

  25. Ah yes, I need to get to the gym, well at least to do yoga. I also need to stop eating junk. Your "selfie" is great! :)

  27. Been there... done that. On all accounts! Thank heavens my days of waiting in the car are gone but they sure did leave me with some good (and wistful) memories. Just like the gym is a memory for me... just sayin'! There is always a size up and then when you lose weight you can call them "boyfriend jeans". Am I trendy or not! Wait.. too many saying "not" over here! Love visiting you as always!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Kathy-you ALWAYS put a smile on my face with your antics. I'm sorry those fool jeans of yours got to you. Now show them pants WHO wears the pants!!!

  29. Hi Kathy ... lol ... I lolve the way the Gym kept hovering above every Picture ... It's a nightmare sometimes :) I got an e-mail from the gym last week saying, that my average weekly training the last month was 0,5 times (that is, 2 times/ month!)
